Fyresight

Fyresite, an ad campaign management system created for small businesses, captures insights on ad placement within local Gannett-owned newspapers. The platform was an ad creation/generation tool for business owners to utilize without the need for expensive agency work or software for ad tracking. It kept everything in one place.

The Fyresight MVP was completed within a six-month period. A cooperative between design, product mangers and three engineers, it was designed for both web and mobile accessibility.

Research

We began with significant market research. The design and product teams spent time in local markets (in Florida) interviewing small business owners about their advertising needs.

The research revealed that businesses wanted to create custom advertising solutions campaigns, track their effectiveness, and get visibility into market demographics.

Visualizing data and tracking traffic

After creating a campaign, users could manage its success by reviewing dynamic analytics and generating reports. They could then make adjustments using custom AI interfaces that projected success against market competition.

Using sensors in their storefronts (provided by Gannett) the users could view increases in foot traffic linked to their campaigns.
